Valuation and Appraisals
Development Strategies’ appraisal services are utilized by a wide variety of clients and are often used in conjunction with a more encompassing real estate consulting assignment. Our appraisers are also involved in many assignments that do not require a conclusion of market value because of their market knowledge. They are in daily contact with lenders, developers, investors, and government agencies to provide “real world” perspectives throughout all our work—keeping pace with trends in value, lease rates, expense ratios, and investment parameters—exactly what investors and decisions-makers need to know. All of our appraisers have Master’s degrees in relevant fields, with years of additional appraisal training and experience standing behind the credibility of our work.
Appraisal projects include all types of ownership and investments in real estate and our appraisers have national experience in some areas, notably multiple-family housing, both for sale and for rent. Our work with HUD’s HOPE VI and Choice Neighborhoods programs has provided experience with some of the most complicated financing scenarios ever conceived as well as exposure to how the rebuilding of these distressed neighborhoods can help revitalize all-but-abandoned urban communities.
